First Indian-German Networking at Ohm Professional School (OPS) with Prof. Dr. Helen Rogers

On 26th February 2020, the first Indian-German Networking event was held at Ohm Professional School (OPS) focused on the topic of ‘efficiency versus Jugaad innovation’ (Frugal Innovation).

The event was hosted and organized by Prof. Dr. Helen Rogers and short impulse talks were presented by three guest speakers; Dr. Nivedita Agrawal (FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg), Dr. Mohit Srivastava (University of Economics, Prague) and Mr. Frank Wolter, Siemens Digital Industries.

The event highlighted different aspects of frugal innovation through a variety of real business examples. The role that intercultural aspects play in Indian-German business relationships, and the synergies that it can lead to, were illustrated using Ghemawat’s CAGE framework. Following completion of the impulse talks, the speakers and participants continued their discussions over drinks and snacks, which provided an excellent platform for informal networking. Further events on similar Indian-German business topics will follow.
