Die Bayerisch-Tschechische Hochschulagentur informiert Sie über aktuelle Ausschreibungen der Stipendien- und Förderprogramme für Projekte zwischen Universitäten, Hochschulen für angewandte Wissenschaften und Kunstakademien in Bayern und Tschechien.

Japan: Nagasaki University International Winter Program|Bewerbungsfrist 13. November 2026

Program Period:

February 11, 2027 – February 24, 2027 (Arrival Date: February 10, Departure date: February 25)

Program Contents:

Language classes (90 minutes × 18 sessions), cultural experiences (5 units)

The program will be offered in 4 classes according to participants' Japanese proficiency levels:

Introductory, N4, N3, and N2

・Japanese Language Class（18 units）

・Cultural Experiences（5 units): a shrine visit, an onsen experience, a tea ceremony, Japanese

cooking, etc.

<For N2 and N3 level courses>: Language of instruction is Japanese

<For Introductory､N4 level courses>: Language of instruction is English

1. Requirements

ⅰ）Applicants must be enrolled at overseas universities.

ⅱ）Participants must purchase travel insurance that provides coverage for the entire program

period (2/10～2/25）

ⅲ）Applicants must have sufficient Japanese proficiency for the class they wish to take.

Applicants for the Introductory and N4 classes must also have sufficient English proficiency

to understand the cultural activities conducted in English.

2. Available Levels：Approximately 10 students per class. Depending on the number of applicants,

two classes may be offered at the same level.

ⅰ）Introductory Course ：

For participants with no prior experience studying Japanese.

This class uses the Roman alphabet. Hiragana (Japanese characters) will not be taught.

Course materials： Original materials for Introductory course.

ⅱ）N4 Level Course：

For Participants with Japanese proficiency equivalent to JLPT N4.

Course material：『Marugoto Elementary 2 (A2) Rikai』 Lesson1～10

ⅲ）N3 Level Course：

For participants with Japanese proficiency equivalent to JLPT N3.

ⅳ）N2 Level Course：

For participants with Japanese proficiency equivalent to JLPT N2.

Course material： Original materials for the N2 level.

※Please review the sample course materials (contact International Office of the Ohm) and choose the

level that best suits you. You will have another opportunity to reconsider and change your course

level in the questionnaire sent with the notification of acceptance. In principle, participants will not

be allowed to change your course level after arriving in Japan.

※If fewer than three students apply for a course, that course will not be offered.

※If more than one students is nominated by the same university, the selection may take into account

the nomination ranking provided by the home university.

3. Participation Fee: 

220,000 JPY (fees regarding textbook and accommodation are included)

Tuition* 200,000 JPY

Registration Fee 20,000 JPY

*Participants are responsible for covering their own travel expenses to Nagasaki University,

as well as the cost of meals and overseas travel insurance.

To be completed and submitted by the staff member in charge at the applicant’s home

Copy of Passport and Proof of Overseas Travel Insurance

To be submitted after acceptance into the program. Participants who fail to submit proof of overseas

travel insurance will not be permitted to participate in the program.

5. Participant Selection

The selection result will be informed to the applicant’s home university via email by November 20.

If the number of applicants exceeds the program capacity, selection will be made based on the

nomination ranking provided by the home university.

If two or more students apply for the same level, please be sure to assign a nomination ranking for

each level.

6. Payment of the Participation Fee

Payment deadline: November 27, 2026

Payment method: credit card

Details will be informed along with a selection result.

Any fees associated with payment must be borne by the participant. Payments are non-refundable.

7. Others

＊All schedules are based on Japan Standard Time(JST).

＊To receive a certificate of completion, participants must attend all program activities, including

the opening and closing ceremonies, and arrive on time.
