PC labs in the KI Building

PC labs

Central IT offers several PC labs with more than 170 PC workstations. All PCs are equipped with the standard office products, programming languages, and various special software.

What’s available in the PC labs

The PCs can be used by all university members (staff and students).

Mobile lectern for hybrid classes

A mobile lectern is available for use in classes or practicals. It is located in Room KI.101a (lecture room access is required).

LeKo offers instructions on using the mobile lectern in the Learning Lab and provides support for faculty using the device or when there are technical difficulties.

Central IT PC labs are located in the KI Building at the Keßlerplatz location.

Opening hours

  • Monday to Friday 8.00 am - 7.45 pm
  • Saturday 9.00 am - 6.00 pm
Please note:
  • Some labs open at 1.15 pm because of maintenance. Maintenance times are indicated in notices on the lab room doors.
  • During the lectures or practical courses, some PC labs cannot be used. Times when anyone can use these labs are indicated in notices on the lab room doors.

Use of PC labs

Accessing the network (Login und Password)

Every student receives a personal login for the Ohm’s PC workstations and for the email system when they enrol.

Printing costs in the labs

Any costs for printing in the labs must be paid using your OHMcard or a mensa card. No cash payments are accepted.
