Maintenance days in 2024

Central IT carries out a maintenance day once every quarter.

• Friday, 16 Feb 2024, 12.00 am - Monday, 19 Feb 2024, 12.00 am (extended maintenance period due to the relocation of the entire IT infrastructure)
• Saturday, 18 May 2024
• Saturday, 17 August 2024
• Saturday, 16 November 2024

Subscriptions to the university calendar

Various university calendars are available that can be subscribed to in your calendar program.

Availability of IT services on maintenance days

It is not possible to use the university’s IT services on maintenance days.

This will affect the following services and systems, among others

• Wi-Fi access
• logging in to the PC workstations
• the groupware system (email and calendar)
• MSAD file storage (home and public) and the content services OCS
• access to FAUbox
• the Moodle e-learning system
• the VirtuOhm and StudiOhm online services

There may be short interruptions in network connections within the university and to the internet connection. This also includes

• the eduroam Wi-Fi and
• the GlobalProtect VPN access

Regular maintenance makes a significant contribution to avoiding service interruptions during the week.
