Four vice presidents support the President in managing the university. They occupy their office in addition to a partially reduced course load.

Prof. Christina Zitzmann

Prof. Christina Zitzmann is

  • an official representative of the President
  • a voting member of the University Management and the Extended Executive Board
  • Chair of the Committee for Academic Affairs
  • head of the violence prevention team
  • a professor of social work at the Faculty of Social Sciences

The Vice President for Academic Affairs is responsible for the following areas:

  • academics (accreditation and quality assurance of degree programmes, system accreditation, curriculum development)
  • teaching (Center for Teaching and Learning, "Forschungs- und Innovationslabor Digitale Lehre", educational research competition, Virtuelle Hochschule Bayern (vhb))
  • professional development (OHM Professional School, part-time degree programmes for professionals, certificate programmes, and conferences)



Prof. Tilman Botsch

Prof. Tilman Botsch is

  • an official representative of the President
  • a voting member of the University Management and the Extended Executive Board
  • Chair of the Committee for Research and Development
  • a professor of heat and mass transfer and fluid mechanics in the Faculty of Process Engineering

The Vice President for Transfer is responsible for the following areas:

  • research and technology transfer
  • reinforcing the university’s strength in third-party funds



Prof. Areti Papastavrou

Prof. Areti Papastavrou is

  • an official representative of the President
  • a voting member of the University Management and the Extended Executive Board
  • Chair of the Committee for Research and Development
  • a professor in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Building Services Engineering

The Vice President for Research is responsible for the following areas:

  • promoting internal research
  • establishing and development of the university’s institutes and competence centers



Prof. Frank Pöhlau

  • Chair of the Committee for International Relations
  • a professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Information Technology.

 

The Vice President for International Affairs and Diversity is responsible for the following areas:

  • implementation and development of the internationalisation and diversity strategies
  • international collaboration in higher education
  • academic supervision of the International Office
  • head of International Academic Services
