The Innovation Communication master’s programme is a postgraduate degree programme. The programme provides advanced knowledge in applied communication science with a focus on strategic corporate and organisational communication related to innovations, which includes innovative products, results, services, and societal and social innovations. Graduates work in corporate communications, innovation marketing, innovation management, and innovation, research, and science communication in organisations, professional associations, and think tanks.

The Innovation Communication programme provides a solid foundation in strategic corporate communication, technology assessment, foresight and scenario management, thought leadership, public relations, and public affairs for innovations and organisations in research and development. This degree will enable you to analyse innovation processes using scientific methods and, on that basis, strategically shape debates within and around research-oriented companies, technology start-ups, scientific organisations and associations, industrial companies and trade organisations, research institutions, and political organisations and institutions. Career opportunities for graduates include roles as press officers or spokespersons for companies and organisations, public affairs managers, research or science communication professionals, or journalistic roles in science and technology editorial departments.

Central to both the first and second semesters in the curriculum is a research project that explores current issues and enable collaboration with companies, scientific and research institutions, professional associations, and think tanks.
