If you are already enrolled at the Ohm, you do not need to register again. You can use your university login (StudyOhm login).

Next you can begin the process in StudyOhm of enrolling in your degree programme. In order to do so, you must first log in to StudyOhm(top right-hand side of the page) using the login details that you received when you registered.

Visit the respective degree programme website to find out if a pre-study internship is required.

Enrolling online

Complete each page in the online enrolment process. The last step is to “Finish registration and continue to upload documents”.

Important: Before you upload your documents, go back to the overview screen. You will find a letter of admission in your StudyOhm inbox and a PDF with important information about enrolment. Please read this information closely and be sure to note all of the useful information about your degree programme and the requirements for enrolling. (Letters of admission are generated each hour, on the hour, between 8.00 am and 1.00 am Central European Time.) Please keep official letters in your files, in case you need to present them at a later date (e.g. public authorities). The university will not produce duplicates.

Uploading documents

Now you can upload and submit the documents required for your degree programme. Please have the required documents prepared in a digital format and in good quality (e.g., as a PDF) and upload them. You can interrupt the process and continue uploading documents at a later time. Please note and be sure to adhere to the enrolment deadline that is stated in your letter of admission. After you submit your documents, the system will not allow you to make any changes to them.

The required documents will include:

  • A CV presented in chronological order and without any gaps, formatted as a table
  • University entrance qualification (HZB):
Depending on which university entrance qualification you are applying with, you will need to send us the final official transcript for the general university entrance qualification or the university of applied sciences entrance qualification or the master’s examination or the professional development examination (e.g. business administrator certificate) or the completed apprenticeship, together with the final official transcript from the vocational college and evidence of the three years spent in full-time employment. Information regarding the various types of university entrance qualification can be found under admission requirements.

The Student Office will provide information in StudyOhm under the section “Information for applicants” if and what additional documents must be submitted.

Following the timely receipt of your documents and once they have been checked, you will be enrolled at the university and will receive your login information for the university’s IT systems. The login information will be available on the home page of your StudyOhm applicant account a few days after you have been enrolled.
After logging in using your new account information, you can find your confirmation of enrolment in StudyOhm in the “Studies organisation” section.

After you receive your login, you must upload a profile photo in the VirtuOhm system at the latest 3 weeks before the semester starts so that your student ID card (OHMcard) can be produced. You will receive your OHMcard during the first week of the semester from your Faculty.
