Research

Eng. Leonardo Nibbi, PhD, is presently Grant Researcher at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Florence.
His experience in the renewable energy field since 1999 is mainly devoted to the integration of renewable energy (both electricity and thermal) sources and storage, including Education and Training in the Renewable Energies Field, with particular attention to Biomass to Energy and Wind Energy.
He regularly carries out teaching activities both for the University (Bachelor and Master Courses) and Private Professional Education and Training Institutes. The teaching activities focus is on: National, European and Worldwide energy outlook; biomass to energy chain sustainability; biomass market; technologies for biomass to energy use; wind assessment and micrositing.
He is Lehrbeauftragter (Lecturer) for the courses “Energy and Development” and “Wind and Geothermal Energy” at the Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm since 2017.
