Guest apartments

During your visit in Nuremberg, it is possible for guests of our university to stay in one of our guest apartments on our campus. All apartments and rooms are fully furnished and equipped. The rental fees include all incidental costs, internet/TV, and electricity. There are no additional costs. 

The university has two two-room apartments available that are located on the 3.OG at Wassertorstraße 6, in the building directly next to the International Office and in the immediate vicinity of the main campus building at Keßlerplatz. The apartments are furnished as single-occupancy flats; a second bed for an accompanying person can be arranged against a surcharge.

Another guest apartment with three rooms is located at Bahnhofstraße 89, next to Building BL. The rooms are rented individually; kitchen, bath, and WC are shared-use (= “Wohngemeinschaft” / WG).

The apartments can be booked for one night or more. The maximum rental period is three months.

Amenities

The price includes:

  • Provision of bed linens, bath towels, and hand towels
  • For stays longer than one week: weekly cleaning of the apartment
  • Final cleaning of the apartment
     

Additional amenities:

  • Washing machine (only in some units)
  • Keysafe for 24/7 arrival times
  • Use of the university’s parking and underground car parks
     

Services against surcharge

  • Additional bed for an accompanying person: 10.00 euros/night
    incl. bed linens, towels, and cleaning service
     

All of the apartments have:

  • Kitchen unit with sink, cooker, dishwasher, and refrigerator
  • Dishes, cooking utensils, electric kettle, and coffee machine
  • Dining area with table and chairs
  • Bathroom with shower, WC, and washing machine (only in some units)
  • Large bedroom/living room area with
    • a bed
    • desk, chair
    • Internet/ WiFi/ TV
    • some units have a sofa/ armchair

The apartments are exclusively non-smoking units.

Cleaning services

The cleaning services include:

  • Cleaning the bathroom
  • Cleaning the kitchen
  • Emptying trash bins
  • Changing hand and bath towels

No extra cleaning services are included for short visits; the final cleaning is always included. 
During longer stays, cleaning services are once a week.
Bed linens are exchanged every 14 days for long-term stays.

Cleaning times

Monday to Friday between 9.00 am - 12.00 pm.
In order to provide thorough cleaning services, we ask that all guests vacate the apartment during the cleaning time and clear all surfaces, shelves, and the cooking and sink areas. If this cannot be accommodated, the cleaning can not take place.

All guests are entitled to cancel the contract before the rental period begins. The following cancellation rules apply:

Cancellation  Up to 7 days before the rental period begins free of cost
Cancellation  Less than 7 days before the rental period begins 10% of the full rental cost

Cancellation fees will be invoiced after the end of the originally booked stay. If the apartment is rented during the period of the originally booked stay, the cancellation fees will be relative to the length of the new rental.
