It’s finally here! Ohmtoberfest will take place on Wednesday, 8 October

All university members are warmly invited to celebrate golden October together - a great atmosphere, culinary highlights, and a touch of Franconian “Gemütlichkeit”.

Ohmtoberfest is from 1.00 – 5.00 pm in the KA Foyer (East) and in the Mensateria.
And from 1.00 - 3.00 pm various activities will also take place in the InternationalisierBar.

At Ohmtoberfest:

“Franken für das Leben”: DKMS Registration Drive

As part of the Bavaria-wide initiative “Franken für das Leben”, the Ohm is hosting a DKMS registration drive along with a number of other universities, municipalities, companies, associations, and sports clubs (including 1. FCN, SpVgg Greuther Fürth, HC Erlangen, and the Nürnberg Falcons).

It is easy to register as a potential stem cell donor (no cost for students).
You register by providing a cheek swab (that you do yourself) and you will need your smartphone / tablet (be sure to bring one!) directly at the roundtable.

The Institute for Chemistry, Materials, and Product Development (OHM-CMP) is the largest institute at the Ohm and carries out research and development projects on the synthesis and application of new materials, processing and production techniques, and product and application development. We also do research and development on the analytics and measurement methods needed to conduct our development work. Current focuses include printed electronics, additive manufacturing, hydrogen technologies and fuel cells, and the sustainable use and resource recover of polymers.
