Together against blood cancer –
register now at the Ohm!

Every 27 seconds, someone somewhere in the world is diagnosed with blood cancer. But we can help -  by registering as a potential stem cell donor.

As part of the Bavaria-wide initiative “Franken für das Leben”, the Ohm is hosting a DKMS registration drive along with a number of other universities, municipalities, companies, associations, and sports clubs (including 1. FCN, SpVgg Greuther Fürth, HC Erlangen, and the Nürnberg Falcons).

Registration week at the Ohm: 5 - 8 May 2025

It is easy to register as a potential stem cell donor at one of the registration stands on campus (no cost for students). You register by providing a cheek swab (that you do yourself) and you will need your smartphone / tablet (be sure to bring one!) at one of the stations.

📍 Registration locations and dates:

  • 5 May - Keßlerplatz (K): weather permitting, in front of the Mensa or in the library foyer
  • 6 May - Hohfederstraße 40 (H)
  • 7 May - Bahnhofstraße 87 (BL)
  • 8 May - Wassertorstraße 10 (W)
  • Neumarkt: dates are to be announced

🕚 Come by between 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

Other dates this summer

Save the date: More drives are scheduled at the Ohm Sommerfest on 28 May and at the opening of the Ohm Innovation Center on 7 July - more information will be available soon.
