The Corporate Communication & Journalism degree programme provides students a solid education in journalism and communication studies qualifying graduates for a wide range of careers in journalism, corporate communications, public relations, and public affairs.

When applying for this programme, you must select one of three specialisations:

  • Technology Journalism & Technology PR
This specialisation combines public relations and journalism with engineering science foundations. Graduates may work in start-ups or in industry in marketing and corporate communications departments, at PR agencies or in trade press professions.

  • Science Journalism & Science PR
This specialisation is designed for individuals who are interested in combining knowledge of fundamental laboratory sciences in chemistry or biology with journalistic skills or organisational communication in research institutions. Both specialisations include coursework in online or radio journalism and marketing and strategic communications for companies or research institutions.

  • Political Communications & Public Affairs
Students who select this specialisation are prepared for work in parliamentary offices, think tanks, NGOs, and public affairs for tech companies. The coursework provides foundational knowledge in politics and economics and develops skills in strategic communication and campaign design and development.

Each specialisation has its own curricular focus, but all follow a common understanding of journalism and professional communication.
