Faculty and staff who are parents are welcome at Nuremberg Tech!

As a certified family-friendly university, we are pleased to welcome you. Nuremberg Tech provides numerous services to support faculty and staff in managing the balance between studying and family.

You can use our child care services, which include, for example, the milliOHM Nursery, the babysitter service for young children, and holiday care programmes for children who are a little older. Besides these programmes, changing rooms are available on campus, if your child is visiting campus with you.

If you are a parent (or becoming one) and want to know what things need to be taken care of in association with the birth of a child or what financial support you can use, feel free to get in touch with the University Service for Family, Equality, and Occupational Health (HSFG). We can provide you individual counseling about how best to organise your parental leave or answer questions about parental allowance (“Elterngeld(Plus)”).

If you have family members who require care, we are happy to advise you on your individual situation and provide information about support options. Interested individuals can learn about topics related to aging, planning for the future, or long term care within the framework of our talk and seminar series on eldercare.
