Loan period and returns

Laptops (Ohmbooks) can only be borrowed by Ohm students.

The load period is 90 working days (days the library is open, excepting Saturdays).

Please note that Ohmbooks can only be collected during the regular Service hours.

To borrow an Ohmbook, please use OPAC. You can collect the laptop at the Service Counter 3 working days after placing your request. If no Ohmbooks are available, you may reserve one.

When you collect your Ohmbook, please have your MSAD Windows system login information with you.

In the event a laptop is returned late, its return will be requested and a fee will be charged in accordance with the General Regulations on the Use of Bavarian State Libraries (ABOB).

Pursuant to Section 12 (5) of the General Terms and Conditions of Use of the Bavarian State Libraries (ABOB) dated 18 August 1993 (GVBl 1993, p. 635 ff) and Article 1 (1), Articles 6, 8, and 13 of the Fees Act (BayBS III, p. 442) in conjunction with the Schedule of Fees, Rate No. 3.III.2, a fee of 7.50 € will be charged for the first request for the return of the device (reclamation) after the loan period has expired (more reclamations and rates can be read about on the Costs and charges website.

If the device is returned with external damage that does not impair its functionality, a flat fee of 25 euros will be charged for the reduction in value of the unit.

  • Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox
  • MindManager
  • MS Office 2019 ProPlus
  • OneDrive
  • PDFAnnotator
  • MS Teams
  • Zoom
  • Zotero

 

It is not permitted that users install additional applications.
Furthermore, it is prohibited to make changes to the software, hardware, or boot sequence. Non-compliance may result in your being excluded from the laptop loan service.

After the laptop is returned, all data will be irretrievably deleted.
