Announcement: POF 2026 in Nuremberg

We are pleased to announce the 34th International Conference on Polymer Optical Fibers (POF 2026), which will take place from 29 September to 1 October 2026 in Nuremberg, Germany.

The decision to host the conference in Nuremberg was made during the ICPOF meeting held at POF2025 last November in Boston. In cooperation with ICPOF, the conference will be locally organised by the Polymer Optical Fiber Application Center (POF-AC). At the same time, the 25th anniversary of the center will be celebrated, which was founded in 2001 at Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm.

The venue will be the Ohm Innovation Center (OIC), a modern facility for research and events. It is located close to the historic city center of Nuremberg and is easily accessible by public transportation as well as by car.

In addition, a workshop on integrated planar optical waveguides is planned for 2 October 2026, as a satellite event to the conference.

Important deadlines:

  • Abstract submission: 15 June 2026
  • Author notification: 15 July 2026
  • Full paper submission: 1 September 2026

Further information on registration, venue, and the programme will be published soon on the official conference homepage, which is expected to go live in April.

We kindly invite you to share this announcement within your network and look forward to welcoming you to Nuremberg in September 2026.
