Frank Lattke

Curriculum vitae

Frank Lattke was born in Tübingen in 1968 and studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich and in Madrid after completing a carpentry apprenticeship. He worked for DonovanHill Architects in Brisbane/Australia and founded his own office in Augsburg in 2003. At the Technical University, Lattke worked as a research assistant in the Department of Timber Construction with Prof. Hermann Kaufmann in the Faculty of Architecture in research and teaching from 2002 to 2014. His main interest is the connection between design and sustainable action in order to develop sustainable solutions in architecture. In 2022, he was appointed to the professorship of building construction and digital fabrication with a focus on wood architecture at Nuremberg University of Technology.

Frank Lattke is a member of the BDA and the Treffpunkt Architektur Schwaben of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects. He is active as a judge in public competitions and was chairman of the design advisory board of the city of Sonthofen from 2013-2022.
