Open access publishing

The Ohm places great importance on showcasing its research activities and ensuring their outcomes benefit academia, industry, and society. Open access publications can play an important role in this regard, as they are accessible to anyone, at any time, from anywhere. For this reason, the Ohm actively supports its members in their open-access publishing activities.

To enable as many members of the university as possible benefit from this support, a consistent framework for funding is necessary. The Ohm provides funding for open access publishing that is administered by the University Library. These funds serve as an open access publication fund, from which both individual open access publications and the publishing component of transformative agreements (e.g., DEAL agreements or similar agreements) can be financed.

To be eligible for funding, you must contact us using the application form before you submit your manuscript. The Open Access Team will determine whether the costs can be financed in full or in part.
