You can download Zotero for free at zotero.org . A Zotero-FAQ is available that provides lots of information about the reference management system, Zotero.

Introduction to Zotero

The introduction to the reference management software, Zotero, addresses the basic functions of the program. The training includes adding titles from OPAC or other databases, processing PDFs, and working with Zotero WordAddIn. This introduction lasts for around 90 minutes.

BW Faculty

Registration for the module Academic Research can be found in VirtuOhm under “Hochschuleweite Einschreibungen > Bibliothek". The courses are B-BW Academic Research (BIB) and B-BW Academic Research (Zotero). Participation in other open trainings cannot be recognised for the module.

Zotero consultation hours

The Zotero consultation is conducted by appointment and lasts around 30-90 minutes, depending on questions. Please use our booking system anny to register. The training is only available to university members and can be held on campus or on Zoom.

During the Zotero consultation hours, we will address the questions you have from working with the program. Please submit your questions with your registration, so the team can prepare for your consultation. If your consultation is scheduled on campus, please also bring your laptop with Zotero already installed.
