The standard duration of the Intelligent & Autonomous Systems master’s programme comprises 3 semesters. The curriculum in the first semester reviews and advances relevant knowledge, including in the areas of machine learning, data science, and mathematics. Students choose three advanced modules and work on a practical project during the second semester. The third semester is devoted to the master’s thesis.

Possible specialisations

Currently, two specialisations are possible:

  • Autonomous Systems
  • Medical Technologies

The former focuses on mobile, autonomous robotics and the latter on medical engineering applications.

Master’s thesis

In the third semester, you will develop your specialist knowledge by means of your thesis. In your thesis, you will independently address a current and ambitious research or development topic. Theses may be completed in the context of a working group at the university or in external research organisations or companies.
