Applying

To apply, you have to use our application portal, SoleMove, for the Ohm International Summer School 2025. You will have to register for an account for the portal.

Register for SoleMove

Shortly after you register for the platform, you will receive an email from SoleMove (noreply@solenovo.fi) that contains your login information. You can then begin the application process.

Required documents

The following documents must be submitted with your application:

Brief personal statement^*
A CV presented in chronological order and without any gaps
Confirmation of enrolment (graduates should submit the final official transcript for their degree)

⁺Applicants for the Confident and Effective Communication course, please include an answer to the following question in your personal statement: Which skills would you like to have learned after completing the course?

The application period ends on 15 May 2025.
Places in the courses are limited and they will be allocated in the order in which applications are received. So being quick can pay off!

Admission

After receiving your application, your documents will be reviewed and we will reply as promptly as possible.
You will receive an invoice for the participation fees along with your acceptance letter. Please transfer the payment for the fees to the account on the invoice within two weeks. As soon as the payment is received, your spot at the Ohm-ISS 2025 will be set.

Participation fee

To participate in one of the five summer school courses a fee of 750 euros will be charged. The fee is comprises a course fee of 550 euros and administrative fee of 200 euros. The course fee covers all course components including excursions and materials.

Costs and fee regulations

Cancellation

You can withdraw from the Ohm-ISS 2025 until 15 May at no additional cost.

After 15 May a cancellation fee of 200 euros will be charged.

After 30 June a cancellation fee of 350 euros will be charged.

The Ohm International Summer School will take place as planned according to the current information. However, we must note that according to the regulations it is possible that the summer school or individual courses may be cancelled up until early June, if compelling circumstances so require. The Ohm will inform registered participants of cancellations by email. If a course is cancelled, the participation fee will be refunded in full. Expenditures that are not course-related will not be refunded. Participants are advised to consider this information when booking travel and accommodation.

In addition, for a price of 250 euros you can take part in our extensive cultural and leisure programme, which includes various half- and whole-day excursions and cultural and sports activities.

Accommodation costs are not included in the fees for the Ohm International Summer School. You must make your own accommodation arrangements. Helpful information about finding accommodations is available on this website.

Scholarships and grants

Students from the Czech Republic can apply for a grant to participate in summer schools in Bavaria from the Bayerisch-Tschechischen Hochschulagentur (BTHA).

Important: Even if the website states 26 March as the deadline, you can still apply for a grant! Grants are issued as long as funds are still available.
