Description

The efficient use of regenerative energy sources is essential for meeting demanding climate aims. Worldwide, approx. 300,000 wind energy plants have been installed, with 100,000 of them in Europe. They need to be exploited to their full extent to achieve short-term ecological and economical successes. The aim of this project was to develop a monitoring approach for blade bearings in wind energy plants (WEP) using optical sensors, thus enabling predictive maintenance.
