Description

One in four women and one in 17 men over 50 in Germany suffer from osteoporosis. This is a malfunction in bone metabolism that leads to increased bone porosity, making the bone more prone to fractures and implant failures. Around 885,000 people in German fall prey to this disease each year in Germany. The research project was aimed at providing a novel and efficient multi-scale model for the analysis and calculation of bone density development.
