Description

The aim of this project is the development of an efficient electric drive with high torque to be used in avionics as an aircraft engine. The goal is to reduce noise emission by utilising the mechanical torque of the electric drive at 2,000 rpm. The conventional round-wire stator winding will be replaced by a combined tooth coil winding to improve the electromagnetic properties and the electromagnetic utilisation of the windings with regards to the winding factor and reduction of losses. The torque of the electric drive will be specifically increased through the targeted insertion of reluctance structures and form-optimised permanent magnets in the rotor. These will be optimised for more efficient cooling of the electric drive. The company Hacker Motor GmbH, in cooperation with the ELSYS Institute, will develop and produce the stator cores, windings and rotor, which are the primary components of an electric drive in the value chain.
