We cordially invite you to the HP_sim&app26 - CARNOT User Meeting 2026, the expert meeting on heat pump simulation and building technology on 22 - 23 April 2026 at the Ohm Innovation Center in Nuremberg.

Background information about the CARNOT Toolbox

The CARNOT Toolbox is an established open-source extension for MATLAB/Simulink for the dynamic simulation of thermal energy systems. It provides a library of physical component models used for the detailed modeling, analysis, and optimisation of complex building energy and HVAC systems in research and development. More information is available on this website.

Key topics in 2026

This year’s programme covers the entire spectrum of thermal system simulation. It ranges from the detailed analysis of individual components – such as the dynamic behaviour of heat pumps, ice storage systems, and stratified thermal storage tanks – to the simulation of complex district heating systems. In addition to the further development of the CARNOT Toolbox, alternative modeling approaches, e.g. using Dymola/Modelica, will be presented. Central connecting elements are modern methods for operational optimisation and the realisation of digital twins. The programme is rounded off by practical workshops offering space for technical exchange for both beginners and experts.

Event audience

The event is designed for engineers, planners, manufacturers, and scientists who are professionally involved in the simulation of thermal systems.

Register now - there is no participation fee. We look forward to welcoming you in Nuremberg!

Sincerely,
The HP_sim&app26 - Carnot User Meeting 2026 organisation team
