Nuremberg is a beautiful Bavarian town with medieval city walls, gothic churches and a gorgeous imperial castle. Situated in the center of Europe, between Prague, Paris, Frankfurt and Munich, the Nuremberg area is home to many international German companies, such as Adidas, Puma, Staedler, Faber-Castell, Playmobil, Siemens and others.

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Information Technology, or efi for short, is located next to the Wöhrder Wiese, a green area along the Pegnitz river, close to the historic city centre.

Interdisciplinary training in engineering and applied research – that is what efi stands for.

With 46 laboratories, a team of 58 professors, over 30 laboratory staff, more than 100 adjunct teaching staff, and over 60 tutorships, the Faculty offers an ideal study environment.
