Field report of our double degree student Annika Gebhard

Through the double degree program offered by TH Nuremberg in cooperation with the University of the Sunshine Coast USC, I was able to earn an additional degree in "International Business" in addition to my Master's degree in International Marketing.

The USC has a lot to offer - not only kangaroos jumping around freely on campus, but also modern equipment and versatile learning and leisure opportunities. Especially for international students, there are various opportunities to take away the best possible learning experience and get familiar with the Australian way of studying. In total, you can take four courses at USC as part of the double-degree program. Among others, I took the courses "Innovation Management" and "Managing Across Global Cultures". The courses are based on current topics and are designed to be interactive. In group projects, you quickly come into contact with other international students and Australians and can exchange intercultural ideas. For the first time in Australia, I was thrilled by the nature and the biodiversity, but also by the easy-going and helpful nature of the Australians. The region itself is also beautiful and from the campus in Sippy Downs you can quickly reach the beach in Mooloolaba, for example. Some of the student clubs at USC organize various leisure activities, such as excursions into the outback or weekly sports activities. The Orientation Week at the beginning of the semester provides a good overview of the different offers.

Due to the circumstances of the Corona pandemic, I left Australia early. Since the courses are also offered online, I was thus fortunately able to complete my semester abroad anyway. I am grateful that this was made possible and look forward to returning soon to discover even more of Australia.
