The technology available in the ERP systems lab includes ERP software and other business software. This currently includes

• SAP ERP, an operational system,
• SAP HANA, an in-memory computing system,
• SAP BW, an analytical system that is also used in the Business intelligence lab,
• cross-application components of SAP NetWeaver, such as ABAP Workbench and SAP Business Workflow, that can be accessed via SAP ERP.

The systems are not operated at Nuremberg Tech but rather used as a service offered by the SAP University Competence Center at TU Munich.

The systems are used in several compulsory courses of the Information Systems and Management programme and in some of the technical required electives in all our computer science degrees, meaning that Computer Science and Computer Science and Media students can also gain an insight into this corporate software. Both application-oriented, business aspects and aspects of technology and system architecture come into play.
