In addition to the four certificate courses, it has been possible since WS 13/14 to have relevant academic achievements during the Bachelor’s degree course accredited for certification as a specialist social worker for clinical social work at the European center for Clinical Social Work (ECCSW) in Berlin. In order to receive accreditation as a clinical practitioner (ECCSW), evidence must be provided of a clinical profile of the bachelor’s degree programme. To this end, you must have

  • successfully completed one of the three specialisation subjects 4.1.2, 4.1.4 or 4.1.5
  • and passed one of the two cross sections 4.2.14 or 4.2.15 with a grade of at least 2.0. If the final grade is lower, an assessment may be made on a case-by-case basis.

You can find more detailed information at www.klinische-sozialarbeit.de or from Prof. Christoph Walther, including information on further certification levels.
