From 2013 to 2016, the Faculty of Social Sciences, together with the Faculties of Education of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg, and the Lutheran University of Applied Sciences Nuremberg, led the doctoral consortium on Education as a Landscape. The consortium was supported with seven scholarships from the Hans Böckler Foundation. The content framework was defined as the “relationship between formal and non-formal places of education and formal and informal learning in childhood and adolescence”. The 24 doctoral candidates also included graduates in Social Work from the Faculty of Social Sciences. The three professors from the Faculty of Social Work making up the supervision team introduced the content and methodological impulses of the consortium’s work into their own courses.

Further information can be found on the website of the Doctoral Consortium (in German).
