The Faculty of Social Sciences is very active and successful in practical research and development.

This is reflected in the number of third party-funded projects that are currently being funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, Family and Integration, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the City of Nuremberg, and the Städtler-Stiftung [foundation], to name a few. The diversity of self-funded and third party-funded projects conducted at the Faculty of Social Sciences is shown in the range of examples presented here.

Student staff members are involved in the research activities of all these projects. The research results, both in terms of methods and content, are also incorporated in various ways into the courses offered by the Faculty.
