Prof. Leonide’s research group works on experimental modelling of functional materials for electrochemical energy converters (batteries, fuel cells, electrolysers) with the following focus areas:

  • Characterisation and modelling of electrochemical reactions and transport processes using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and analysis of the distribution of relaxation times (DRT)

  • Physics-based equivalent circuit-modelling of fuel cells, electrolysers, and batteries (single cells)

  • Model-based in-situ diagnosis and lifetime predictions

  • Model-based material development and simulation

  • AI-assisted model development
