The Competence Center for Social Innovations, Methods and Analyses (KoSIMA) is a cluster of experts from the fields of social sciences, economic sciences, and computer science at the Ohm. Together with our collaboration partners, we analyse social and economic developments. We combine scientific research and social relevance, by transferring our results in the form of social and economic innovations in the public, political, and corporate spheres and thereby creating a close application connection.

KoSIMA was founded as an interdisciplinary unit at the Ohm in spring 2019. Our competences and services cover the following areas:

  1. Human Resources – Labour market, training, and personnel
  2. Social change – Demography, welfare mix, and social cohesion
  3. Empirical methods and analyses

KoSIMA promotes the internal exchange of expertise, coordinates research projects, puts on public events, offers advice on methodical issues (evaluations, (field) experiments, empirical analysis methods, big data), and transfers this knowledge through the development of social, IT-based, and economic innovations.
