The energy landscape is increasingly moving in the direction of renewable energies and efficient processes. In the future, engineers working in the field of energy technology and energy management will increasingly be tasked with shaping this evolution, since it demands both improvements to existing energy conversion processes and methodological expertise for the analysis and comparative assessment of entire systems.

Photovoltaic, wind energy, geothermal, natural gas, or hydropower plants convert renewable sources into clean energy. High-efficiency decentralized cogeneration units provide electricity and heat in a predictable and climate-friendly manner. The increasing presence of green energy within the power network requires energy experts who are able to provide safe and smart system-based solutions for the generation, transmission, distribution and use of energy.

With a view to imparting complete energy management expertise, Ansbach University of Applied Sciences, Nuremberg Tech and Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences are combining their energy expertise in an accredited Energy Management and Energy Technology master’s degree programme, with graduates being awarded the degree “Master of Engineering” (M.Eng.). Following the successful completion of a relevant engineering degree programme, the master’s degree programme will pave the way to a diverse range of professional tasks in which you will enjoy a position of responsibility as a manager or department head within the energy industry.
