form important interfaces between research and the degree programmes and contribute significantly to the development of the degree programmes themselves. Large numbers of students complete their project papers and final theses within those institutes and competence centers.

Each year, around 22 graduates from the Faculty currently obtain doctorates connected to the research projects and doctoral supervision is provided by colleagues from within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Building Services Engineering, who are leading the research projects.
