Interdisciplinary research

As a joint institution of both the Ohm and the Klinikum Nürnberg, the Nürnberg School of Health is committed to conducting interdisciplinary research on topics related to health at the interface of medicine, nursing, technology, computer science, economics, and social sciences. Cooperative approaches and a clear focus on transfer are just as central to the research as a holistic view of the various dimensions of healthcare and patient care. The expertise of the researchers at the Nürnberg School of Health shape the five research areas at the Faculty.

Research fields

Midwifery studies and gynaecology

In the midwifery studies and medicine research area, the Nürnberg School of Health researchers are focused on topics related to developmental and health psychology, gynaecology and paediatrics, palliative care in perinatal and neonatal medicine, and preventative paediatric examinations. The research methods include experiments, clinical trials, reviews, and guideline development.
