What is the Entrepreneurial Innovation Hub?

The Entrepreneurial Innovation Hub is a qualification program to raise the startup culture in our region to a new level.

The Entrepreneurial Innovation Hub is a joint program of:

  • Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg
  • Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm
  • Hochschule Ansbach
  • Technische Universität Nürnberg
  • Evangelische Hochschule Nürnberg
  • Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg
  • Akademie der Bildenden Künste Nürnberg

The program is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts as part of the „Hightech Transfer Bayern“ initiative.

Who is the Entrepreneurial Innovation Hub suitable for?

For students from all disciplines at universities in Central Franconia who have an affinity for innovation, are talented and show above-average commitment. In addition, a strong creative drive and a high level of responsibility are required.

How is the program structured?

Students go through a three-stage qualification program with core qualification modules that build on each other:

1. Trend & Technology Scouting

2. Product (Development) & Innovation Design

3. Business Strategy

As part of these core modules, students independently design and implement challenges and projects in cross-university, interdisciplinary teams and take responsibility for the results. They also take electives and have the opportunity to spend time abroad.

The core modules are followed by a largely optional startup track, which helps to connect students with startups from the region and provide further support for the startup projects from the Entrepreneurial Innovation Hub.
