ENVIRONMENT AND RESOURCES – Raw materials are natural resources provided by nature. The United Nations have ascertained that worldwide raw material depletion has trebled over the last four decades. Environmental pollution is caused by overexploitation of raw materials.

One of Nuremberg Tech’s strengths is in the area of interdisciplinary environmental research. The technical and business administration faculties are researching jointly with the Fraunhofer Society. Their subject is new technologies, products and processes, with a focus on secondary raw materials in the research areas of energy, water, facility technology, and environmentally friendly corporate governance. Cooperation projects emerge in a successful research and technology transfer with SMEs.
