Nuremberg Institute of Technology is appalled at Russia’s military assault on Ukraine.

“We are deeply concerned for the lives of the people in Ukraine”, said President Niels Oberbeck. Nuremberg Tech added its voice to the Statement of the German Rectors’ Conference. “Our solidarity is with the Ukrainian people and especially our partners and friends in Odessa and Lviv. We have long-standing partnerships with them.”

Nuremberg Institute of Technology collaborates with the Odessa National Academy of Telecommunications and the Lviv Polytechnic National University in Ukraine. In addition, 60 students with Ukrainian citizenship are currently enrolled at the university.

Many university members feel the need to help the people fleeing Ukraine due to the current situation. “The Nuremberg Institute of Technology to the best of our ability, will support the efforts to contribute assistance and help”, continued Oberbeck.

The City of Nuremberg and Kharkiv are sister cities. Therefore, Nuremberg Tech is promoting the account set up for donations by the Partnerschaftsverein Charkiw-Nürnberg e.V.: https://www.nuernberg.de/internet/international/aktuell_77249.html
