First cohort of the master's degree programme celebrates graduation

19 December 2019

The first cohort of the OHM Professional School's (OPS) part-time master's programme for professionals in Counseling and Coaching celebrated its graduation in December 2019. Ten students began their studies for a Master of Arts in Counseling and Coaching in March 2017 and have now successfully completed their programme. During their studies, they all continued to work in counseling and coaching situations. The deliberate transfer between theory and practice in the part-time study programme aims to expand the existing level of competence of the students. In addition, the programme provides a scientific foundation for their competencies, teaches students to critically reflect, and reinforces and advances their professional development. The degree programme coordinator, Prof. Christoph Walther, is proud of the first successful cohort. For all graduates, the master's degree gave an impulse to change or expand the function or area of responsibility in their current position; in some cases their salary increased after earning their degree. Two graduates are also aiming for a doctorate after graduation. The fourth cohort of the continuing education master's degree in Counseling and Coaching will begin their studies in March 2020. Applications are being accepted until 27 January 2020. An information event will take place on 13 January 2020 at 17.30 at Nuremberg Tech.
