As of 6 October, all work spaces in the library must be reserved using the booking system (anny).

All work spaces (including group rooms, carrels, and the quiet reading room) in the library are open. Work spaces can be reserved using the anny booking system. The work spaces on the ground floor, the OPAC-PCs, book scanner, and the Norm-PC do not require a reservation.

The 3G rule is in effect in the library; please be sure to have appropriate documentation available.

Work spaces on floors 1-3 can be booked for periods of 30 min. and up to 9 hours. Carrels and group rooms can be booked for periods between 30 min. and 3 hours. Three bookings / day are allowed per person. Places can be booked up to 1 week in advance.

You can check in, at the earliest, 15 minutes before your reserved period and at the latest 15 minutes after it.
Booking

University members can reserve working spaces using anny. Your registration is validated through your TH email address and Shibboleth (my.ohm account). You will receive a confirmation email with an attachment containing a QR code after you make a booking.

Check-in

There is a separate PC between the Service Counter and the periodicals room for check-in on the ground floor of the library. At the check-in station, please scan the QR code you will have received via email. If you do not check in, your reservation will expire and the working space will be cleared for others to reserve. You can check in, at the earliest, 15 minutes before your reserved period and at the latest 15 minutes after it.

Group rooms can only be booked by one person for the whole group. You must also check in for group rooms. In the quiet room (KL.100), please refrain from using private laptops/smartphones, to ensure an undisturbed working environment.

Collection of contact information

Collection of contact information for university members is still via VirtuOhm.

However, instead of registering one room for the entire library, you must register the respective floor, group room, or carrel in which you spend more than 15 minutes. Signs related to registration are on display on each floor with the respective room numbers.

  • Floor 3 = KL.300

Students should register the room number listed on the respective door sign for the quiet room, group rooms, and carrels.

Booking

Spaces on the ground floor can be used without a reservation. External users cannot book working spaces independently using the online system. Please come to the Service Counter to reserve a place on the 1-3 floors or book a place in advance via email (bibliothekatth-nuernbergPunktde) or by calling (0911/5880-4000) (reservations can only be made with a valid library card). Group rooms, carrels, and the quiet room are exclusively for use by university members.

Check-in

Check in at the Service Counter, be prepared to present your official ID. If there is no check-in within 15 minutes, the reservation will be cancelled.
