The university carries the name "Georg-Simon-Ohm University of applied sciences - Nuremberg." It is a public corporation with the rights of autonomy reagrding the law. It is a state establishment at the same time.
Management of the university
The university management is made up of the president, the vice president and the head of administration.
The extended university management is made up of the deans of the faculties and the womans representatives of the university.
Committees
Further elements of the academic self-administration are, among others, the
senate and university council with their own responsibilities and competences, which are regulated through the higher education legislation. The students are also involved in student committees.
Administration
The universities tasks are carried out by a modern and efficient administration - so long as it is not the responsibility of the teaching staff(Organigramm). The head of administration is the chancellor.
Faculties
Our university is divided into 12 faculties. Each faculty comprises the university teachers, the non-academic employees and the students within the faculty.
